Martin Griffin, Golf Professional

Shop1

Martin Griffin, our popular professional, started his career as a trainee assistant to Chris Thompson at Droitwich Golf Club at the age of 17 years, becoming a full member of the Professional Golfers' Association in 1992.

In 1994, Martin moved to La Moye Golf Club, Jersey, as Head Assistant to Mike Deeley, before becoming Head Professional at Moseley in September, 2001.

Shopping

Martin is now a member of the Alliance Golf Group which is the biggest buying group in the country. Plenty of new additions for 2009, including GREG NORMAN CLOTHING, M.G.C. CRESTED SHIRTS by KARTEL (always a popular one!) IZZO BAGS (probably the lightest on the market) and clubs by SRIXON, PING, and MD GOLF. Demonstration clubs are always available.

The latest FOOTJOY shoes along with the slightly cheaper PHOENIX shoes are now in stock. Golf balls from TITLEIST (the Pro V1 is still outselling every other ball) SRIXON, with 15 ball pack offers from TOP-FLITE and PINNACLE.

If you like Club Crested items there are available BRASS BALL MARKERS, PITCH FORKS, HEAD-COVERS, HATS, SHOE BAGS and TOWELS.

Lessons

Martin's coaching diary is always busy so it is advisable to book ahead to avoid disappointment. Coaching is given to the full swing, putting, pitching and chipping, bunkers, course management and getting the right mental approach. As well as coaching members and visitors alike, he is heavily involved with coaching the Worcestershire County Juniors.

Playing

As always I look forward to playing with the Members especially for the Captain/Pro Challenges and for the Lunt Cup.
Individually I intend to represent Moseley Golf Club in Worcestershire, Midland and the odd National tournament (not forgetting "The Open" qualifier)
